  Custom fields are coming later this year, it is top priority on our todo-list.

  Custom fields will solve this problem AND allow a sort of workflow management by allowing admins to set a status (for approval, completion, etc)

  Agree with mlittle. Having a hierarchy of categories would be ideal. For instance, being able to classify as "navigation", "buttons", "pagination"...and so on, so they are bucketed in ways we can understand. And then store patterns within those categories for primary & secondary buttons, etc.

  Would you like to organize patterns by category within a library? Yes, that is not possible right now, but what you could do is to use libraries as categories to organize patterns.

  Users should be able to create categories and assign new patterns to them.
